What's where in Jumeirah, and what do people book?
Jumeirah runs about the length of Jumeirah Street (Beach Road), with the numbered districts in order along the coast. Here’s what sits where, and what we’re usually booked for in each.

Two things change the pickup. Villa gates on the side streets are quiet, so the chauffeur can wait right outside. Beach-side venues are busy at sunset, so we agree a meeting point in advance, such as the Mercato entrance or the La Mer drop-off. Bvlgari Resort Dubai, on Jumeirah Bay island, is reached by its own 300-metre bridge, and the chauffeur meets you at the resort entrance.
How long is a chauffeur ride from Jumeirah to the airport?
It depends which end of Jumeirah you’re at. From Mercato in Jumeirah 1, DXB Terminal 3 is about 17 km, typically 16–35 minutes off-peak and up to 45 at rush hour. From Madinat Jumeirah in Umm Suqeim, it’s 29.5 km and 22–45 minutes, while DWC is closer from that end: 42 km and 30–55 minutes.

Google Maps typical-traffic ranges for a Tuesday (late morning off-peak; 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. peak), checked in September 2026. The pattern is simple: Jumeirah 1 is a Downtown-and-DXB neighbourhood, Umm Suqeim a Marina-and-DWC one. Madinat Jumeirah to Atlantis The Palm is only about 10 km along King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street.
What's happening on Jumeirah's roads in 2026?
A lot. In April 2026 RTA awarded the contract for a combined upgrade of three roads that serve Jumeirah. Umm Suqeim Street gets four bridges and two tunnels between Jumeirah Street and Al Khail Road, Al Wasl Road gets five tunnels between Umm Suqeim Street and 2nd December Street, and Al Safa Street gets two bridges and two tunnels between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Wasl Road. Seven junctions on Jumeirah Street are being improved as part of the same project.
RTA expects big savings once it’s finished (Umm Suqeim Street from 20 minutes to 6, Al Safa Street from 12 to 3). While the work runs, expect diversions on and around these roads, especially on school mornings. We build extra time into morning pickups in Al Safa and Al Wasl and choose the route on the day.
Madinat Jumeirah, the Burj Al Arab and the resorts
Madinat Jumeirah is three hotels (Jumeirah Al Qasr, Jumeirah Mina A’Salam and Jumeirah Al Naseem), the Dar Al Masyaf summer houses and the Souk Madinat Jumeirah. For dinner at the Souk, we drop at the Souk and the chauffeur waits in its underground car park or nearby; for hotel guests, the pickup is the hotel entrance.
The Burj Al Arab closed in April 2026 for a restoration expected to take about 18 months, so there are no hotel or restaurant drop-offs there for now. Its bridge was already reservation-only, checked at the security gate. Next door is Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, in Umm Suqeim 3. We list these hotels as landmarks, not partners.

Yes. Families in Jumeirah, Al Safa and Umm Suqeim book a monthly chauffeur for the school drop and pickup, often with errands or an office run in between. The monthly packages in the rate table on this page are priced by car class, and the chauffeur is briefed on the school gate, the timings and who may be collected.
At a meeting point we agree when you book, usually the nearest drop-off lane rather than the beach itself. Sunset is the busy time at both, so for an evening pickup message the chauffeur 10 minutes before you walk back, and the car will be waiting at the agreed spot.
Not at the moment. The hotel closed in April 2026 for an 18-month restoration, and access to its bridge has long been limited to guests and confirmed reservations. For a view of it, Madinat Jumeirah and the public beaches in Umm Suqeim are the usual stops, and we can include them in a private driver day.
