A private driver in Dubai from Tour Transfer is a dedicated chauffeur who comes with one of our cars, booked for a few hours, a full day, a week or your whole stay. You don’t need a driving licence, a deposit or a rental agreement. Bookings start at three hours, and one fixed price covers the car, the driver, fuel, Salik tolls and VAT. You may know it as a personal driver or personal chauffeur; it’s the same service.
One thing to know before you book: it’s always our car and our chauffeur together. We don’t send drivers to drive customers’ own cars. Our car and our driver, never your car
Many people who search “hire a driver in Dubai” want someone to drive their own car. We don’t offer that: our driver service in Dubai always includes the car. Here’s why that’s simpler for you:
Insurance stays with us.
If anything happens on the road, it’s our car on our policy. An accident in your own car goes on your insurance, whoever was driving.
The licensing is done.
Driving passengers for hire in Dubai needs an RTA driver permit and a licensed limousine. Every car we send is RTA-licensed and every chauffeur holds the permit, so both are sorted before the car reaches you.
No employer paperwork.
Employing someone to drive your car full time usually means sponsoring them as a domestic worker, with the salary, housing and insurance that come with it.
A backup if something goes wrong.
If a car has a problem, we send another of the same class. With your own car, the day ends at the garage.
If you do want a driver for your own car, look for a licensed driver-only service. It’s a different product, and we’d rather tell you that than take the booking.

How much is a private driver in Dubai?
A private driver with a business sedan costs about AED 90–120 an hour or AED 600–1,300 for a ten-hour day in Dubai, based on published rate cards of Dubai chauffeur companies in September 2026. An S-Class runs about AED 1,400–2,500 a day and a large SUV AED 1,300–2,000.

Private driver or taxis for the day?
For one short trip on your own, take a taxi. For a day with four or five stops, a private driver is simpler, and the gap in cost is smaller than it looks. Dubai taxis charge the meter plus Salik tolls, the meter keeps running while the car waits, and since late 2025 app-booked taxis carry a higher booking fee at peak times. Each stop means a new booking and another wait at the kerb, which in July happens outdoors.

For stays of several days, we keep the same chauffeur across the booking wherever the roster allows, so you’re not explaining your hotel entrance every morning. You agree the next day’s start time with your chauffeur the evening before.

How to get the most from a private driver
A few habits make the day run better:
- Send the plan the night before. Addresses, rough times, and which stops are fixed. The chauffeur plans the route around rush hour; Salik’s peak-toll hours, 6–10 a.m. and 4–8 p.m., are a fair guide to when the main roads fill up.
- Say how many bags. Four people with four suitcases need an SUV or a V-Class, not a sedan.
- Agree the pickup entrance at malls. Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates have several entrances. Message the chauffeur when you’re ten minutes from leaving and they’ll be at the right door.
- Save the chauffeur’s number. You get it before pickup. WhatsApp them for changes during the day.

- Confirm and receive your chauffeur’s name, mobile number and plate before pickup.
- Pay cash in AED or by card in the car, or by bank transfer on a corporate account.

Yes. With a private driver booking, the car and chauffeur stay with you for the hours you book, from three hours up to several days. You can add stops, change plans and have the car wait outside meetings, shops or restaurants, and the price doesn’t change while you’re inside the booked time.
Not with us. We only provide our own cars with our own chauffeurs, which keeps insurance, licensing and backup cars with us. If you need someone to drive your own vehicle, you’ll need a driver-only service, or to employ a driver directly and sponsor them as a domestic worker.
Book a full-day block of 10 hours, or a half day of 5 hours. Send the start time and rough plan, and the chauffeur arrives at your address at that time. Abu Dhabi or Sharjah can be part of the day if you mention it when booking.
It depends on the car, hours a day and days a week. Our monthly driver service has packages from a business sedan for 8 hours a day, five days a week, with fuel, Salik and VAT included and no visa to sponsor.
