A Nissan Patrol Platinum with chauffeur carries seven passengers and four large suitcases, which makes it the SUV for bigger families heading to a desert camp, Hatta or a long day across the emirates. Platinum sits at the upper end of the Patrol range, with leather, a quiet cabin and plenty of rear space. Chauffeur, fuel, Salik tolls, airport parking and VAT are all inside one fixed price.
The Patrol has deep roots here. Nissan dates the Patrol story to 1951, and the first one arrived in the Gulf, in Kuwait, in 1957. It’s Nissan’s longest-running model line. For comparisons with the Yukon, Escalade and Range Rover, see our luxury SUV with chauffeur guide.

Why book a Patrol instead of an American SUV?
Two reasons come up again and again.
First, it seats seven passengers. The Yukon and Escalade stop at six in our bookings, so a family of seven fits in one Patrol instead of an SUV and a sedan.
Second, it doesn’t draw attention. A Patrol blends into Dubai traffic in a way an Escalade or G63 doesn’t. Some clients prefer that: residents with visiting parents, guests who don’t want to look like tourists, and anyone who’d rather arrive quietly.
On the road, it feels built for the terrain around Dubai. The Patrol Platinum’s Hydraulic Body Motion Control keeps the body flat through roundabouts and over rough service roads, and the car is at home on the approach roads to desert camps. Our chauffeurs still stay on paved surfaces; dune driving is the safari operator’s job.
What to plan for: with all seven passenger seats in use, the boot takes four large cases. If each of seven people brings a big suitcase, book the Chevrolet Suburban or add a second car for the bags. We can fit child seats and boosters; tell us ages when you book. Bottled water and Wi-Fi are included on every trip.
Best Dubai trips for a Patrol with driver
Desert camp evenings
Seven of you to the camp or the operator’s meeting point, with the chauffeur waiting or coming back after dinner. See VIP desert safari transfers.
Hatta day trips
Hatta sits about 130 km east of the city in the Hajar Mountains. Kayaking on Hatta Dam and the mountain scenery make it a full day, and the Patrol keeps everyone together.
Family sightseeing
Old Dubai, the Creek, the Frame and the beach in one day, with the car waiting at each stop. Our luxury city tour can plan the route.
Abu Dhabi runs
A fixed-price transfer or a full day out, with space for seven and the shopping on the way home.
Patrol Platinum, Yukon or LX 600?
Book the Patrol for seven passengers and a low-key look. Book the Yukon Denali for six with a more executive feel, and the Lexus LX 600 for four adults on long runs who want reclining rear seats.
| Nissan Patrol Platinum | GMC Yukon Denali | Lexus LX 600 | Chevrolet Suburban | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Passengers | 7 | 6 | 4 | 7 |
| Large suitcases | 4 | 4 | 3 | 5 |
| How it feels | Familiar, capable, discreet | Tall, quiet, businesslike | Planted luxury off-roader | Longest SUV, biggest boot |
| Book it for | Families of seven, desert, Hatta | Airport runs, roadshows | Long UAE runs for four | Seven with lots of luggage |
For six passengers who want a more corporate look, the GMC Yukon Denali is the usual alternative.
Nissan Patrol Platinum with Chauffeur in Dubai: frequently asked questions
We book the Patrol Platinum for seven passengers with four large suitcases. That’s one more passenger than a Yukon or Escalade. If your group of seven carries more than four big cases, the Chevrolet Suburban takes five, or we add a second car for the luggage.
Yes. It’s comfortable on the roads out to the desert camps and seats seven, so a family travels together. The chauffeur drives on paved roads to the camp or meeting point, and the safari company’s own 4x4s handle the dunes.
Large SUVs cost about AED 1,300–2,000 for a full ten-hour day on published Dubai rate cards (September 2026). Hourly hire has a three-hour minimum, and transfers are one fixed price per route. Our current rates are on the pricing page.
Yes. Hatta is about 130 km east of Dubai, so it works best as a full-day booking with the chauffeur waiting while you kayak or explore. Tell us your pickup time and plans, and the quote comes back as one figure with fuel and Salik included.
