The Abu Dhabi International Boat Show 2026 runs Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 November, 2pm to 10pm each day, at Marina Hall, ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. From Dubai it’s a drive of roughly 1.5 hours down the E11. Parking is free, but the show closes at 10pm, so the drive home is the part to plan.

That late finish is why most Dubai-based visitors don’t want to drive themselves. We run the Dubai to Abu Dhabi chauffeur transfer every day, and boat show week is mostly afternoon departures and late pickups at the marina. Here’s how the four days work from the transport side.

When is the Abu Dhabi boat show 2026, and where?

The organiser’s Abu Dhabi International Boat Show site lists 19–22 November 2026 at Marina Hall, ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, with the same 2pm–10pm hours on all four days. ADNEC’s own announcement describes on-water trials and a returning Charter Show alongside the hall.

2028Not announced yet; usually NovemberExpected at ADNECCheck adibs.ae

The pattern is consistent: the 2023 edition ran 9–12 November and the 2025 edition 20–23 November, both Thursday to Sunday at ADNEC.

Marina Hall isn’t the main ADNEC building. It sits on the waterfront on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street (Arabian Gulf Street), a 10,000 square metre hall joined to the exhibition centre by a footbridge, according to the Abu Dhabi Media Office. Tell your driver “Marina Hall”, not just “ADNEC”.

Who goes, and what to wear

It’s a public show with paid tickets, plus separate registration for trade visitors and media. The organiser counted 52,741 visitors and 1,068 brands and exhibitors in 2025, so weekend afternoons are busy.

Two rules affect your group before you leave Dubai:

  • Dress code. Smart casual or traditional attire. Visitors in shorts, sleeveless tops or revealing clothing aren’t allowed in.
  • Children. Under-16s must be with a parent or an adult aged 18 or over.

Check both before you get in the car. A two-hour round trip to be turned away at the door is a bad evening.

Our Dubai to Abu Dhabi distance and travel time guide breaks the drive down by area. Dubai Marina and JLT are the quickest starting points; Deira and the DXB area are the slowest.

Time it around the Darb gates

The show opens at 2pm, which falls just before Abu Dhabi’s evening toll window. Abu Dhabi Mobility charges AED 4 per Darb crossing from 3pm to 7pm (and 7am to 9am), except on Sundays and official holidays. Leaving Dubai around 12:30pm on Thursday or Friday puts you over the island bridges before the afternoon peak builds. In our cars the tolls are part of the price either way.

Parking, drop-off and where your chauffeur waits

The organiser advertises free parking all day and points visitors to Car Park D, which ADNEC describes as close to Al Khaleej Al Arabi Park 4 with easy access to Marina Hall, entrance on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street. Car Park E, closest to Marina Hall, has its entrance immediately after the hall on the same street. ADNEC also runs a valet service and has staff on traffic management around the clock.

For a chauffeured visit, this is the routine we use:

  1. Drop-off at the Marina Hall entrance on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street, as close as the marshals allow.
  2. The car parks in Car Park D or E and the chauffeur stays with it. You don’t need to plan the afternoon around him.
  3. Message 15 minutes before you leave so the car is at the entrance when you walk out.
  4. Same pickup point every visit. If you come back on Saturday, nothing changes.

If you’re boarding a boat for a sea trial or heading to a yacht after the show, tell us the berth. Our yacht transfer chauffeur service covers marina-to-marina runs.

Without a car, ADNEC lists a taxi rank at the adjacent Aloft Hotel entrance, Abu Dhabi taxis on 600 53 53 53, and public bus 040, seven days a week.

The drive home after 10pm

Closing time is late but the roads are kind. The 10pm close is after the Darb window and long after the evening commute, so the E11 back to Dubai is usually clear once you’re off the island. The slow part is the first 15 minutes: everyone leaves Marina Hall at once.

  • Leave at 9:30pm if you’ve seen enough. You’ll be on the motorway before the car parks empty.
  • Stay to closing and accept a slower exit. A pre-booked car waiting at the entrance beats queueing at the taxi rank.

Expect to be back in Dubai Marina or JLT around 11:30pm and Downtown closer to midnight.

Other events that week

November is crowded on both sides of the border. The boat show overlaps Dubai Future Week (18–21 November) and the Icons of Porsche festival in Nad Al Sheba (21–22 November); see our Icons of Porsche transport guide. A week later the Dubai 7s fill Al Ain Road (27–29 November), and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix follows on 3–6 December. Our Dubai events calendar has the full run.

Which car for the boat show?

  • One or two people: a business or first-class sedan.
  • Families with children: a large SUV such as a GMC Yukon or Cadillac Escalade, with room for bags and anything you buy at the show.
  • Buyers with a broker or family office team: a V-Class, so the whole group arrives and leaves together.
  • All four days: book hourly or daily hire. Our chauffeur service in Abu Dhabi covers dinners and hotel runs if you stay over.

Book when you buy tickets. The weekend afternoons go first.

Frequently asked questions

When is the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show 2026?

The Abu Dhabi International Boat Show 2026 runs Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 November 2026 at Marina Hall, ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. It’s open 2pm to 10pm on all four days, according to the organiser. The 2027 and 2028 dates haven’t been announced; recent editions ran Thursday to Sunday in November.

Is parking free at the Abu Dhabi boat show?

Yes. The organiser advertises free visitor parking all day and directs visitors to Car Park D, entered from Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street. Car Park E, entered just after Marina Hall on the same street, is the closest to the hall. Weekend afternoons fill fastest, so arrive early or be dropped at the entrance.

What should I wear to the boat show?

Smart casual or traditional attire. The organiser says visitors wearing shorts, sleeveless tops or revealing clothing won’t be allowed in. Comfortable shoes help if you’re boarding boats or walking the marina. Check your whole group before leaving Dubai; a refused entry means a long round trip for nothing.

How do I get from Dubai to ADNEC Marina Hall?

Drive or take a chauffeur down the E11 to Abu Dhabi, then follow Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street to Marina Hall. Allow about 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes depending on where in Dubai you start. Taxis and the intercity bus work too, but finding a ride back after the 10pm close takes longer.

Can children go to the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show?

Yes. Visitors under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or an adult aged 18 or over, according to the organiser. With children, a 2pm arrival and an early evening exit avoids the busiest hours and gets you back to Dubai at a sensible time.
