The Dubai Airshow is held every two years, so there’s no show in 2026. The next edition runs 15–19 November 2027 at the Dubai Airshow site at DWC, next to Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai South. Get there by chauffeur to the drop-off area, by car to the free visitor parking, or by Red Line metro to Expo 2020 station and the free shuttle bus.
The Airshow is a trade event for aviation and defence professionals, and the site is a long way from Dubai’s main hotel districts. We plan exhibition and conference transport for visiting teams, and this guide sets out how the 2025 edition worked on the ground, which is the best guide to 2027 until the organiser publishes new arrangements.
When is the next Dubai Airshow?
The Dubai Airshow runs in November of odd-numbered years. The 2025 edition was 17–21 November 2025. The next is confirmed for 15–19 November 2027 at DWC, Dubai Airshow site.
| Edition | Dates | Venue | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 | 17–21 November 2025 | DWC, Dubai Airshow site | Held |
| 2027 | 15–19 November 2027 | DWC, Dubai Airshow site | Confirmed; transport plan not yet published |
For 2025, the organiser’s opening hours were 10:00–17:30 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with a late opening to 21:00 on Tuesday. The 2027 hours will be published nearer the show, so check them before you set pickup times. For everything else happening in Dubai that season, see our Dubai events calendar.
Who attends the Dubai Airshow?
The show is open to industry professionals only. Airlines, manufacturers, defence delegations, business aviation, suppliers and government visitors make up the crowd, and many arrive in teams with a packed meeting schedule across the chalets and halls. The organiser’s FAQ says under-18s aren’t admitted to the main exhibition halls and asks for business attire or national dress.
In 2025, members of the public could watch the flying displays through a separate SkyView ticket at a nominal fee. It’s a separate ticket from a trade badge and access arrangements can differ, so tell us which one you hold when you book.
How do you get to the Dubai Airshow: car, metro or chauffeur?
Here’s how the options compared at the 2025 show, based on the organiser’s published arrangements.
| Option | How it worked in 2025 | Best for | Downside |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chauffeur with drop-off pass | Car uses the vehicle drop-off area | Executives, delegations, chalet hosts | Needs a vehicle drop-off pass, sold through the exhibitor portal |
| Chauffeur without a pass | Car drops you at the visitor car park or shuttle point | Visitors who only have a trade badge | Shuttle or walk to the entrance |
| Metro plus shuttle | Red Line to Expo 2020 station, then free RTA bus on a loop to the Airshow site | Solo visitors on a budget | Two legs each way, queues at closing time |
| Self-drive | Free visitor parking at the venue, first come first served, from 09:00 | Residents who know Dubai South | Fills early on busy days |
| Park and ride | Free parking area at Al Maktoum Airport, shuttle to the show from 08:00 | Drivers arriving after the car park fills | Extra shuttle time |
The metro and shuttle route
The Airshow FAQ says RTA buses run from Expo metro station on a continuous loop to and from the Airshow site. That’s Expo 2020 station on the Red Line. From Downtown, allow for the full metro ride plus the bus. It’s the cheapest option but not the fastest, and the return queue builds as soon as the halls close.
Driving and parking
Visitor parking was free and opened at 09:00 in 2025, first come first served. A second free parking area at Al Maktoum Airport fed the show by shuttle bus from 08:00. Reserved bays for people of determination were available, though a pass was still required. Exhibitors could also buy priority, exhibitor and contractor car park passes for the whole show.
Drop-off and pickup at the Airshow site
This is the detail visiting teams most need to sort out in advance. In 2025, vehicles needed a drop-off pass to use the drop-off area. The exhibitor portal sold a car pass (valid on cars and some people carriers) and a separate bus drop-off pass for the designated area opposite the main entrance.
What that means for chauffeur bookings:
- If your company exhibits, ask your event manager for a drop-off pass for each car you’ll use. Give us the pass details and we’ll assign the same car and chauffeur for the week so the pass stays valid.
- If you’re visiting on a trade badge, the car drops you at the visitor parking or shuttle area and waits there. You shuttle or walk to the entrance.
- If you host a chalet, check whether your chalet package includes vehicle access or parking passes before the show. It changes where your guests are dropped.
- For group arrivals, a van or bus with the right pass can use the bus drop-off area opposite the main entrance.
Where chauffeurs wait depends on the pass. With a car park pass, he waits in that car park. Without one, he waits in the visitor parking. Either way, we agree a named pickup point in the morning and the car is there before you walk out.
Traffic windows to avoid
The Airshow site shares its approach roads with Al Maktoum International Airport and Expo City. Our planning rules for show week:
- Arrive before the gates, not at them. With car parks opening at 09:00 and halls at 10:00 in 2025, the hour in between is when arrivals peak. Aim to be dropped early.
- Leave before 17:30 or well after. The mass exit at closing time loads the car parks, the shuttle queues and the approach roads at once.
- Expect a heavier Tuesday evening. The 2025 show stayed open to 21:00 on the Tuesday, which meant a second, later exit wave.
- Watch other shows at Expo City. Dubai Exhibition Centre is close by. If a big show runs there the same week, the Expo Road area gets busier.
Planning multi-day Airshow transport for a delegation
Teams staying in Dubai Marina, JLT, Palm Jumeirah or Downtown spend five days moving between hotel, show and evening dinners, and each leg to DWC is a long one.
- Lock the cars early. November is Dubai’s most crowded event month, so book cars when you book hotels.
- Match the car to the group. A business sedan carries up to three passengers; an SUV or V-Class carries six. Senior delegations may want matching first-class sedans; our luxury SUV chauffeur service suits teams who need space for samples and bags.
- Get the passes sorted before day one. Drop-off and parking passes are issued in advance. In 2025 they had to be collected by 16 November, the day before the show.
- Plan arrivals through DWC. Delegates flying privately or on DWC flights land next door. Our guide to Al Maktoum Airport transfers covers the terminal side.
- Keep an evening plan. Airshow days often end with receptions or dinners in the city. Hourly hire keeps the car with you from show to dinner.
If your team is also at Expo City for another show, our guide on how to get to Expo City Dubai covers the metro station and car parks shared by both.
