Dubai Design Week 2026 runs from Tuesday 3 to Sunday 8 November at Dubai Design District (d3), open 10am to 10pm daily and free to attend. Get there by car or taxi to the d3 drop-off points, or by metro to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall and then RTA bus D03. Parking is free for two hours, then AED 20 an hour.
Design Week is an evening event more than a daytime one. Openings, talks and parties run late, and d3 spreads across several buildings, so the night often ends somewhere other than where it started. We book event chauffeur service for Design Week from our base in Business Bay, a short drive away, and this guide covers the hours, the car parks and how to get collected at 10pm without circling the district.
Dubai Design Week 2026: dates, hours and tickets
Dubai Design Week is in its 12th edition, with d3 as strategic partner and Dubai Culture as lead supporter. Three things run inside it, on different hours. The Dubai Design Week visitor page sets them out:

How to get to Dubai Design District (d3)
d3 sits on its own waterfront a short drive from Downtown Dubai and Business Bay. It isn’t walkable from any metro station, so the last leg is always by road.
| Option | Route | Cost | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chauffeur | Door to the building you want; Downtown Design has its own drop-off | Hourly or transfer | Evening openings, VIP preview, groups |
| Taxi or ride-hailing | Drop-off points across the district | Metered | Single trips by day |
| Self-drive | Four large public car parks, about 2,800 spaces | Free for 2 hours, then AED 20 an hour | Short daytime visits |
| Metro and bus | Red Line to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall, then RTA bus D03 to Dubai Design District 1 | Cheapest | Daytime, light luggage |
By metro and bus
Take the Red Line to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall, then RTA Route D03 to the Dubai Design District 1 stop. During Design Week, shuttle buses run from that stop to the Downtown Design fair. Live bus times are on the S’hail app or rta.ae.
It works well by day. After 10pm it’s slower, because you’re waiting for a bus and then a train with everyone else who stayed for the last talk.
By car: parking and valet at d3
The festival says paid parking is free for the first two hours, then AED 20 an hour. Valet runs at several d3 locations and at the Downtown Design entrance. The d3 visitor FAQs describe four large public car parks for about 2,800 vehicles, and buggies that carry visitors between buildings, which helps if you park at one end and your next stop is at the other.
Two hours goes quickly at Design Week. A late-afternoon visit with one talk and dinner easily runs four or five, which is why most of our Design Week bookings are hourly.
Downtown Design: the one stop with its own drop-off
Downtown Design is the design fair inside the week, and the only ticketed part. It’s also the only part with a dedicated drop-off point at its main entrance, plus its own valet.
The invite-only VIP preview on Wednesday 4 November, from 2pm to 8pm, is the busiest arrival window of the week at that entrance. If you’re on the list:
- Arrive in the first hour or after 6pm. Mid-preview is when the drop-off lane is fullest.
- Use the dedicated Downtown Design drop-off, not the general district drop-off points.
- Plan the next stop. Preview guests often move on to dinner or a studio opening elsewhere in d3, so keep the car on hourly hire rather than booking a one-way drop.
For a host bringing clients, a Mercedes S-Class with chauffeur seats three in the back and arrives without fuss. For a studio team of five or six, a Mercedes V-Class keeps everyone together.
Evening pickups across d3
Taxi drop-off points are spread throughout the district, and that’s the problem at night. “Meet me at d3” isn’t a pickup point. Every building has its own frontage, and at 10pm several talks end at once.
How we handle it:
- Name the building. Before your chauffeur leaves you, agree the building and the side of it for pickup, or use the Downtown Design entrance as a fixed point.
- Message 10 minutes before you leave. The car is parked nearby, not idling in the drop-off lane, so it needs a few minutes.
- Leave at 9:45pm or after 10:15pm. The last 15 minutes before closing and the first 15 after are when taxis and app cars stack up.
- Going on to dinner? Downtown and Business Bay restaurants are a short drive. Keep the same car and tell us the booking time; our Business Bay chauffeur service covers the area every night.
What else is on during Dubai Design Week?
Design Week shares the first week of November with two big trade events:
- ADIPEC, 2–5 November, at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi. Dubai-based delegates head down Sheikh Zayed Road early each morning. See our ADIPEC transport guide.
- Gulfood Manufacturing, 3–5 November, at Dubai World Trade Centre. Evening traffic around Sheikh Zayed Road and Downtown is heavier while it runs.
Cars are in demand all week, so book Design Week transport when you plan the visit. The rest of the autumn is in our Dubai events calendar.
