Art Dubai 2027 runs from Wednesday 7 to Sunday 11 April 2027 at Madinat Jumeirah on Jumeirah Beach Road, with VIP Days on 7 and 8 April. The simplest way there is a car to the fair entrance, with the chauffeur waiting nearby. Driving yourself means the Souk Madinat Jumeirah underground car park at AED 20 an hour.
Art Dubai is the fair where the car matters more than usual. Collectors move between the fair, gallery dinners and hotel receptions on the VIP Days, often with guests, and nobody wants to stand on a driveway in April heat waiting for an app. We plan event chauffeur service for the fair each spring, and this guide covers the dates, the access and the cars that suit it.
When is Art Dubai 2027?
The Art Dubai visitor information page gives the 2027 fair as 7 to 11 April, with VIP Days on Wednesday 7 April and Thursday 8 April, at Madinat Jumeirah, Jumeirah Beach Road, Al Sufouh 1. Daily opening hours and ticket prices for 2027 haven’t been published yet.
| Edition | Dates | Venue |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 | April 2025 | Madinat Jumeirah |
| 2026 (20th anniversary) | A scaled-back special edition in mid-May 2026, moved from its usual spring slot | Madinat Jumeirah |
| 2027 | 7–11 April 2027 (VIP Days 7–8 April) | Madinat Jumeirah |
| 2028 | Not announced yet; usually April | Madinat Jumeirah expected |
The 2027 dates put the fair back in its normal April window after 2026’s one-off May edition.
VIP Days and public days
The two VIP Days come first. Art Dubai handles VIP access through an accreditation form and its VIP Relations team, so if you’re invited, check your invitation for the time slot before you book the car. After the VIP Days, the fair continues to Sunday 11 April. Tickets are sold through 800tickets.
There’s an evening side too. In recent editions, the fair’s After Dark programme has taken over Fort Island at Madinat Jumeirah with live DJ sets, which means late finishes and a second wave of pickups after the fair halls close.
How to get to Madinat Jumeirah
Madinat Jumeirah is a resort complex on Jumeirah Beach Road in Al Sufouh, next to Burj Al Arab. It has hotel driveways, the Souk Madinat Jumeirah car park and waterways, but no metro station. Art Dubai confirms the fair entrance and visitor arrangements nearer the date; we check them each year before the VIP Days.
| Option | How it works | Cost | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chauffeur | Drop at the fair entrance, car waits nearby | Hourly or transfer | Book VIP-day cars early |
| Self-drive | Souk Madinat Jumeirah underground car park | AED 20 an hour; maximum AED 200 per 24 hours | Busy on VIP evenings |
| Valet | Available at Souk Madinat Jumeirah, according to Jumeirah | Varies | Queues at peak times |
| Taxi or ride-hailing | Drop at the resort | Metered | Waits after After Dark events |
| Metro | Mall of the Emirates station, then a taxi | Cheapest | Not walkable in April heat |
Parking at Souk Madinat Jumeirah
Souk Madinat Jumeirah’s plan-your-visit page lists underground parking at AED 20 an hour, with three hours free if you spend AED 100 or more at a participating Souk outlet. Its FAQ caps the charge at AED 200 for 24 hours. A fair visit with a talk and dinner can run past three hours, so budget for the hourly rate.
By metro
Souk Madinat Jumeirah names Mall of the Emirates as its nearest metro station. That still leaves a taxi ride down to the beach road, so the metro saves money but adds time.
Which car for Art Dubai?
This is where Art Dubai differs from a trade show. The arrival is part of the evening, especially for collectors and gallery hosts moving between a preview, a dinner and a hotel.
| Who | Car | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Collector or couple, VIP Day | Rolls-Royce with chauffeur (Ghost or Phantom) | The arrival photographs well and the rear cabin is quiet between stops |
| Gallery host with two or three guests | Mercedes S-Class with chauffeur | Three in the back, discreet, easy on hotel driveways |
| Gallery team with crates of catalogues | Mercedes V-Class | Six seats and real luggage space |
| Group of collectors on a programme | SUVs or a V-Class convoy | Everyone moves together between venues |
For price context, published Dubai rate cards in September 2026 put a Rolls-Royce Ghost at about AED 5,000 for a full day and an S-Class at AED 1,400–2,500 for a full day. Our free cancellation runs to 6 hours before pickup, or 24 hours for Rolls-Royce and Bentley. If you’re choosing between the two marques, our Rolls-Royce vs Bentley comparison covers the difference in the back seat.
Planning the VIP Days
The VIP Days are long. A typical collector’s day starts with a late-morning preview and ends after a dinner, often at a different hotel.
- Book hourly hire for the whole day. Hourly hire has a 3-hour minimum, and a VIP Day easily runs eight hours or more. One car, one chauffeur, no rebooking between stops.
- Send us your schedule the night before. Preview slot, lunch, dinner address. We’ll time the pickups and add slack for Jumeirah Beach Road at 6pm.
- Fix a pickup point at the fair entrance on arrival. At Madinat, “the front” can mean several driveways, so name it.
- Plan the After Dark exit. If you stay for Fort Island, message 15 minutes before you leave. The chauffeur is parked, not circling.
Staying at one of the Madinat hotels or nearby? Your car can still save the walk across the resort with bags and catalogues. Our Jumeirah chauffeur service covers the beach road hotels, and our Burj Al Arab arrival guide covers arrivals next door.
April is quieter than March on our calendar, with Gulfood and the Dubai World Cup finished by the end of March, so cars are easier to find. VIP Days are the exception: book luxury cars a few weeks ahead. The full year is in our Dubai events calendar.
