The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2027 run 14–27 February at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium in Garhoud, next to Dubai International Airport. The WTA 1000 week comes first, then the ATP 500 week. GGICO Metro Station is a five-minute walk, ticket holders get a free Park N’ Ride, and the late finish is the part to plan.

Garhoud is the easiest big-event venue in Dubai to reach. It’s central, it’s on the Red Line, and it’s minutes from DXB. For the tennis, two trips need planning: straight from a flight to the stadium, and home after an evening session that ran long. Our event limousine service covers both. This guide sets out the dates, the ways in, and how to leave when the last match ends.

Dubai Tennis Championships 2027: dates for the WTA and ATP weeks

The organiser’s official championships site gives 14–27 February 2027 for the whole event. The WTA’s tournament page lists the women’s WTA 1000 week as 14–20 February 2027. The men’s ATP 500 week follows, with the final on Saturday 27 February.

When we checked in October 2026, the organiser hadn’t published 2027 ticket prices or session times; the ticket page said details were coming soon. The tournament has run in the second half of February in each of the last two years, so plan any 2028 trip around that window and confirm nearer the time.

Where is the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium?

The stadium is in Garhoud, inside the grounds of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Centre at the Aviation Club. Visit Dubai’s venue page places it near Dubai International Airport. The centre court seats 5,000, the Tennis Village sits on the east side of the stadium, and the Irish Village and Century Village next door handle most of the food and drink.

That last detail matters for transport. A lot of fans stay on for a drink after the night session, so the crowd leaves in waves rather than all at once. It also means a quick pickup at 11pm can turn into a long one if the group wanders next door.

Garhoud sits between the Creek and the airport, so it’s a short hop from Deira, Festival City and Downtown, and further from Dubai Marina and the Palm.

Metro, Park N’ Ride or a car: which is easiest?

For most people, the Red Line is the easiest way in. For groups, late finishes and anyone with bags from the airport, a car is easier. Here’s how the options compare, using the organiser’s travel information:

Leaving the Dubai Tennis Championships after an evening session

Tennis is harder to time than football or cricket. A straight-sets win can be over in an hour; a third-set tiebreak can run well past two. You can’t book “pickup at 10:15pm” and expect it to hold.

So we don’t. For evening sessions we recommend hourly hire (3-hour minimum) or a drop-off plus an open return, where the chauffeur parks nearby and comes back when you message. Two habits make it work:

  1. Message at the start of the final set, not after match point. Garhoud traffic around the stadium gates moves slowly when a full centre court empties, and ten minutes’ warning puts the car at the kerb when you walk out.
  2. Name a fixed meeting point. “Outside the main gate” is vague when 5,000 people leave together. Pick a landmark you’ll recognise in the dark and tell us at booking.

If the group plans to stop at the Irish Village afterwards, tell the chauffeur. It’s a two-minute change of plan, and nobody waits at the wrong exit.

Flying in for the tennis?

The stadium is close enough to DXB that some fans land and go straight to the tennis. That works with a car, not with a taxi: the bags stay locked in the car while you watch, and the chauffeur takes you to the hotel afterwards. Book the leg as an hourly hire from the airport.

Our airport transfers include flight tracking, a meet and greet with a name board in arrivals, and 45–60 minutes of free waiting. If you land at Terminal 3, our DXB Terminal 3 pickup guide shows where you’ll meet the chauffeur.

Traffic around Garhoud in late February

Garhoud sits on the routes between Deira, the airport and Festival City, so getting there for a weekday evening session means driving through the commuter and airport rush. From Downtown or Business Bay at 5pm, give yourself extra time; from Dubai Marina, more than you think. Our Dubai rush hour guide breaks it down by road.

February is a busy month for events. Check our Dubai events calendar for what else is running in the same fortnight before you lock in hotel and car times.

Which car for the tennis?

  • One or two guests on a hospitality ticket: a Mercedes S-Class. Quiet, and easy to spot at the kerb.
  • A family or four friends: a large SUV, with room for shopping bags if you stop at Festival City on the way.
  • Five to seven people: a Mercedes V-Class, so the whole group leaves together.
  • A corporate box or client group: a van or minibus with driver, plus one sedan for anyone who leaves early.

Our prices include fuel, Salik, VAT and airport parking, with no surge pricing after a late match and free cancellation up to 6 hours before pickup.

Frequently asked questions

When is the Dubai Tennis Championships 2027?

The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2027 run 14–27 February at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium in Garhoud. The WTA 1000 week is 14–20 February, and the ATP 500 week follows, with the final on Saturday 27 February. The 2028 dates haven’t been announced; the event usually runs in the second half of February.

Which metro station is closest to the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium?

GGICO Metro Station on the Red Line. The organiser says the stadium is about a five-minute walk from there. You can also get off at Al Garhoud Metro Station, also on the Red Line, and take the free shuttle bus to the stadium. A nol card covers the metro, buses and the tram.

Is there parking at the Dubai tennis stadium?

The organiser points drivers to its free Park N’ Ride service for ticket holders. It runs throughout the championships, starting an hour before match times. The travel page doesn’t list the car park’s location, so check your ticket confirmation. If you’d rather not deal with parking, the metro or a drop-off is simpler.

How far is the Dubai tennis stadium from the airport?

Very close. The stadium is in Garhoud, beside Dubai International Airport, so the drive from the DXB terminals is short outside rush hour. That makes it easy to land and go straight to a session. With a booked car, your bags stay locked in the vehicle while you watch.
