Marhaba and a private chauffeur cover different halves of your arrival at Dubai Airport. Marhaba meets you at the aircraft gate, fast-tracks you through immigration, helps with bags and hands you over at a meeting point in the arrivals hall. A private chauffeur meet and greet starts at that meeting point and ends at your door. Marhaba’s DXB arrival service starts from AED 136.50.

The deciding factor is where you need help: on the airside part of the journey (the walk, the queue, the baggage hall) or only on the landside part (the car). We run chauffeur meet and greet at DXB and DWC every day. Below: how the two services fit together, what Dubai Airports’ own services add, and what each one costs.

What does Marhaba cover at Dubai Airport?

Marhaba is the meet-and-assist service at Dubai International, run as part of dnata. Emirates links to it from the “Meet & Greet” option on its own website, and flydubai sells its packages too. For arrivals, a Marhaba agent meets you at the aircraft gate, takes you through the priority immigration lane and escorts you to a meeting point in the arrivals hall. What happens in between depends on the tier.

These are the DXB arrival tiers and starting prices shown on Marhaba’s Dubai International page in September 2026, VAT included:

Marhaba tier (DXB arrival)FromWhat’s included
SilverAED 136.50Met at the arrival gate, fast-track immigration, escort to the arrivals-hall meeting point, one porter at baggage reclaim. Up to 3 guests may accompany you
FamilyAED 225.75Built for families with young children: meet on arrival, fast-track, escort to the meeting point, one porter at reclaim
GoldAED 273 per personOne-to-one service, fast-track, a porter who takes your bags all the way to the meeting point, multilingual guide if you ask, Marhaba lounge access for your return flight
EliteAED 1,102.50Personal escort, a dedicated porter from the gate, chauffeur lounge at Terminals 1 and 3 while your bags are collected, then a luxury chauffeur-driven car to your destination

A few booking rules from Marhaba’s site that matter in practice:

  • Online bookings close 11 hours before the service. Shorter notice means calling Marhaba.
  • Up to 20 guests can be booked online; bigger groups go through Marhaba directly.
  • Wheelchair assistance must be booked with your airline, not with Marhaba.
  • Prices vary by terminal, so check the live price for your flight.

Elite is the only tier with a car built in. Marhaba says a chauffeur can be added to the other tiers as an extra.

What are Dubai Airports’ own arrival services?

Three names come up when people search for DXB meet and greet, and they do different jobs.

DXB Greet & Go is a meeting point, not a fast-track. It sits in the Terminal 3 arrivals area. Licensed hotels, limousine companies and tour operators register their drivers, send you a QR code, and you scan it at the kiosk to see your driver and car before staff walk you to the vehicle. Dubai Airports hasn’t published a guest fee; it’s arranged by your provider. Our Terminal 3 arrivals guide explains how it fits with the rest of the hall.

Al Majlis VIP is Dubai Airports’ private terminal experience. The Al Majlis site describes dedicated passport control, security and customs, private lounges and “discreet back-door access to your aircraft”. It’s priced on enquiry and suits heads of delegations, VIPs and guests who shouldn’t use the public terminal at all.

Ahlan meet and assist is sold through some hotels. Madinat Jumeirah’s arrivals page, for example, lists Deluxe Ahlan Meet and Assist at AED 270 per person and Premium Ahlan at AED 400 per person, meeting guests before customs.

What does a private chauffeur meet and greet include?

Our meet and greet is landside. The chauffeur can’t go airside, so it starts where Marhaba’s service ends:

  • Flight tracking. We watch the flight, so an early or late landing moves the pickup with it.
  • Name board in the arrivals hall. The chauffeur waits in the public meeting area after customs.
  • 45 to 60 minutes of free waiting. Enough for a normal immigration and baggage wait.
  • Bags from the hall to the car. The chauffeur takes the trolley and loads the car.
  • The car and the drive. Door to door, at a fixed price that already includes airport parking, Salik tolls and VAT. No surge pricing, no night surcharge.

What it doesn’t include: fast-track immigration, help at the aircraft door, or a porter at the baggage belt. That’s exactly the gap Marhaba fills.

When is it worth booking both?

Book both when the airside part is the hard part. Our view from the dispatch desk:

  • Families with small children and several bags. Marhaba Family or Gold at the gate, then a Mercedes V-Class or large SUV outside. The porter and the chauffeur between them mean no parent pushes a trolley with a child on it.
  • Older travellers or anyone who finds long walks difficult. Terminal 3’s A and C Gates involve a train ride or a long corridor. Book wheelchair help through the airline, and Marhaba Gold for the escort.
  • Executives landing straight into a meeting. Fast-track saves time in the queue; a pre-booked car saves the rest. If you want a specific car (an S-Class, a Rolls-Royce) or to keep the car by the hour afterwards, book Marhaba Silver or Gold plus a car with us, rather than Elite.
  • First-time visitors arriving at a busy time, who’d rather be walked through every step.

Skip Marhaba if you’re a frequent visitor with hand luggage who can use the smart gates. A chauffeur alone covers everything you need.

How to coordinate Marhaba and your chauffeur

  1. Book Marhaba at least 11 hours before landing, the online cut-off. Choose the arrival service and the terminal.
  2. Book your chauffeur with the flight number and tell us you’ve booked Marhaba, and which tier.
  3. On landing, Marhaba’s agent meets you at the gate and escorts you through immigration and baggage.
  4. The escort ends at the arrivals-hall meeting point. Your chauffeur is waiting there with a name board.
  5. Keep the chauffeur’s number handy so the Marhaba agent can call if you can’t spot the board.
  6. The chauffeur takes the bags from the porter and walks you to the car park.

For guests arriving by private jet, none of this applies: the handover happens at the business aviation terminal, covered on our private jet transfer page.

Frequently asked questions

What is included in the airport meet and greet?

At Dubai Airport, it depends who provides it. Marhaba meets you at the aircraft gate, fast-tracks you through immigration, arranges a porter at the baggage belt and escorts you to the arrivals hall. A private chauffeur meet and greet starts in the arrivals hall with a name board, then handles your bags to the car and drives you to your destination.

How does airport meet and greet work at Dubai Airport?

You book in advance with your flight number. For Marhaba, an agent waits at the aircraft gate and walks you through immigration, baggage claim and customs to a meeting point. For a chauffeur, the driver tracks your flight, waits in the arrivals hall after customs holding your name, and takes you to the car in the terminal car park.

What are the charges for Greet & Go at DXB?

Dubai Airports hasn’t published a fee for passengers. DXB Greet & Go is used by registered hotels, limousine companies and tour operators, who send their guests a QR code for the Terminal 3 kiosk. Any cost sits within what you pay your hotel or transfer provider, so ask them whether your pickup uses it.

What is Greet and Go in Dubai airport?

DXB Greet & Go is a meeting point in the Terminal 3 arrivals area, launched in July 2025. You scan a QR code from your hotel or transfer company at a kiosk, see your driver’s details and the car’s parking location, and a staff member escorts you to the vehicle. It replaces a driver holding a sign for providers who use it.

What are the Marhaba service charges at Dubai Airport?

Marhaba’s own site listed these DXB arrival prices in September 2026, VAT included: Silver from AED 136.50, Family from AED 225.75, Gold from AED 273 per person and Elite from AED 1,102.50, with a chauffeur-driven car included in Elite. Prices vary by terminal and date, so check the live quote for your flight.

Does Marhaba include a car to my hotel?

Only the Elite tier, which includes a luxury chauffeur-driven car from the airport. Silver, Gold and Family end at the meeting point in the arrivals hall, and Marhaba offers a chauffeur as a paid add-on. Many travellers book Silver or Gold with Marhaba and a separate private chauffeur for the drive.
