Automechanika Dubai 2026 transport guide: the first edition at Expo City

Automechanika Dubai 2026 runs Tuesday 10 to Thursday 12 November 2026, 10:00–18:00 each day, at Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) in Expo City Dubai. It’s the show’s first year away from Dubai World Trade Centre. Take the Red Line to Expo 2020 station, in front of the venue, or be dropped at the Arrivals Plaza.

Where is Automechanika Dubai 2026?

At Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai. The organiser, Automechanika Dubai, calls the move a significant development in the show’s 23-year history, after 22 editions at Dubai World Trade Centre. DEC’s Automechanika Dubai listing puts it in the North and South Halls: N21 to N39 and S1 to S19.

Note the last day. Unlike most Dubai trade shows, Automechanika doesn’t close early on day three, so plan the final pickup for 18:00, not 17:00.

The show is for trade professionals only, and visitors under 18 can’t enter the halls. The organiser lists 1,500+ exhibitors and 30,000+ trade buyers.

The good news: DEC is built for big shows. The organiser lists more than 10,000 parking slots, direct metro access and direct access to Expo City Dubai.

How do you get to Automechanika Dubai at Expo City?

The organiser’s arrival page covers the options. Our read on each:

Dubai Metro. Expo 2020 station sits right in front of the exhibition centre, with Red Line trains every 3–4 minutes. Board a train signed for Expo 2020; trains signed Life Pharmacy don’t go to Expo City. The organiser suggests hotels in metro Zones 2, 3 and 6 (Business Bay, Downtown and the Internet City and DMCC area) for an easy commute.

Taxi. RTA taxis start from AED 5, or AED 12 if pre-booked on +971 4 208 0808, and drivers know DEC’s drop-off points. Careem and Uber also serve the venue. Expect a queue at 18:00.

Driving yourself. Paid parking is available 24/7. Follow the signs to the visitor car parks; shuttle buses run from the parking zones to the Arrivals Plaza.

Chauffeur. Hotel to the Automechanika drop-off, then the car holds in the visitor parking or a marshalled area until you call. Our Expo City Dubai guide explains the approach roads and the car park zones in detail.

Drop-off and pickup at the Arrivals Plaza

All of Automechanika’s halls open off the Arrivals Plaza, so every car aims for the same spot at 09:45. Get there by 09:30 and you walk in calmly. Get there at 09:55 and you queue on the approach.

For pickups, we agree a named point near the plaza each morning and the chauffeur is in position before 18:00. Message 15 minutes before you leave the stand. If your stand is deep in the North Halls (N37, N39) or the South Halls (S17, S19), add the walk back to the plaza to that 15 minutes.

Moving teams, parts and samples

Aftermarket exhibitors carry things: catalogues, sample parts, tools, display stock. A sedan boot fills fast. This is how we’d match vehicles to the job:

What else is on in Automechanika week?

November 2026 is busy. Gulfood Manufacturing runs the week before (3–5 November) at DWTC, and the DP World Tour Championship starts on 12 November at Jumeirah Golf Estates, which puts extra traffic on the southern routes on Automechanika’s last day. Big 5 Global follows at DWTC on 23–26 November.
