HYROX has two UAE races this season. HYROX Abu Dhabi runs 23–25 October 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, and HYROX Dubai runs 27–28 November 2026 at Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City. Check-in opens 90 minutes before your division’s first wave, so plan to arrive early and book the ride home before you race.

After eight kilometres of running and eight workout stations, nobody wants to stand in a taxi queue with a kit bag. We run event transport in Dubai and the Dubai–Abu Dhabi route daily, and race weekends like these are mostly early starts and evening finishes. Here’s how we’d plan both.

When and where are HYROX Dubai and HYROX Abu Dhabi 2026?

Both dates come from the official HYROX event pages. Schedules are marked provisional and individual start times are published about three days before each race.

RaceDatesVenueRacing hours (provisional)
HYROX Abu DhabiFri 23 to Sun 25 October 2026ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, Halls 7–10Fri from 16:00 (women only); Sat 10:00 to about 20:20; Sun 10:00 to about 19:35
HYROX DubaiFri 27 and Sat 28 November 2026Dubai Exhibition Centre, North Halls (N21, N23, N25)Both days 10:00 to about 20:30

HYROX 2027 and 2028

Neither race has announced 2027 or 2028 dates yet. Both event pages describe 2026 as HYROX “returning”, so expect them back in the 2027/28 season; check hyrox.com before you book flights.

Race-day timing: work back from your wave

The schedule decides your pickup time, so read it closely.

HYROX Abu Dhabi. Friday 23 October is women only: the organiser says only female athletes and spectators are welcome that day, with racing from 16:00. Saturday has the men’s individual waves from 10:00, then Pro, then mixed doubles into the evening. Sunday has women’s and doubles waves from 10:00 and the relays from 19:00.

HYROX Dubai. Friday 27 November opens with the men’s individual waves at 10:00 and ends with mixed doubles around 20:30. Saturday 28 November has the women’s and doubles waves from 10:00 and the relays from 19:50.

Three rules from the event pages shape the morning:

  • Check-in opens 90 minutes before your division’s first start wave, not your own wave.
  • You check in on race day, with ID. Nobody can check in for you.
  • Start times can’t be changed. Miss it and you’ve missed it.

For a 10:00 division, we aim to have athletes at the door around 08:15.

Getting to HYROX Dubai at Expo City

Dubai Exhibition Centre sits in Expo City, near Expo Road (E77) and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311). The HYROX page says the Red Line’s Expo 2020 station (R76) is a few minutes’ walk from the venue, and DEC’s venue guide says trains arrive every 3–4 minutes. DEC has more than 2,300 visitor parking bays, with shuttle buses to the Arrivals Plaza, the main entrance to the North and South Halls.

Expo City is a long way south of the hotel districts. Our guide on how to get to Expo City Dubai covers the station, car parks and drive times.

Getting to HYROX Abu Dhabi from Dubai

ADNEC is on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street in Abu Dhabi. From Dubai, allow 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes depending on where you start; our Dubai to Abu Dhabi chauffeur transfer runs it daily. The HYROX page says on-site parking is first come, first served and suggests arriving early or using public transport. ADNEC is also served by bus 040, and ADNEC lists a taxi rank at the adjacent Aloft Hotel entrance.

For a 10:00 Saturday division, check-in opens at 08:30. Leaving Dubai Marina by 06:45, or Downtown by 06:30, gets you there with time to warm up. Saturday morning also falls in Abu Dhabi’s Darb toll window (7am to 9am), which is included in our price.

A day return is fine for one race. If you’re racing on Saturday and supporting a friend on Sunday, a night in Abu Dhabi saves two early starts.

Spectators, pickups and the drive home

Spectators need their own ticket. The event pages sell spectator tickets separately, and spectators who want to enter early go to the Spectators Desk with ticket and ID.

The exit plan matters more than the arrival:

  1. Agree a pickup point at drop-off: the DEC Arrivals Plaza in Dubai, or the entrance your chauffeur dropped you at in Abu Dhabi.
  2. Message 15 minutes before you’re out. Post-race you’ll be in recovery, collecting kit and photos; the car waits.
  3. Doubles and relay teams travel together. Four athletes and bags fill a sedan’s boot; a van is easier.

The return from Abu Dhabi after the evening relays is a late one: finishing around 20:30 puts you back in Dubai near 22:30.

Clashes that weekend

HYROX Dubai shares its weekend with the Dubai 7s on Al Ain Road (27–29 November), so cars are in demand across the city; see our Dubai Rugby Sevens transport guide. The Big 5 Global construction show closes at Dubai World Trade Centre on 26 November, the day before. Our Dubai events calendar has the rest.

Which car for race day?

  • One athlete plus one supporter: a business sedan.
  • Doubles pairs or a relay team of four: a large SUV with boot space for kit bags.
  • A gym or club group: a van with driver for up to seven, or a minibus for bigger squads. We arrange buses with a driver for team travel.

Frequently asked questions

When is HYROX Dubai 2026?

HYROX Dubai 2026 is on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 November 2026 at Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai, in the North Halls. Racing runs from 10:00 to about 20:30 each day on the provisional schedule. Individual start times are published about three days before the event.

How do I get to HYROX Dubai by metro?

Take the Red Line to Expo 2020 station, which the HYROX page describes as a few minutes’ walk from Dubai Exhibition Centre. Dubai Exhibition Centre says trains run every 3–4 minutes. Spectators find it easy; athletes travelling back from Deira or Downtown after racing often prefer a car.

What time should I arrive for my HYROX wave?
