TOKEN2049 Dubai 2027 runs Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 April 2027 at Madinat Jumeirah, on the Jumeirah coast next to Burj Al Arab. The 2026 edition was postponed, so this is the first Dubai show in two years. Come by chauffeur or taxi to the resort; the nearest metro, Mall of the Emirates, still needs a taxi to finish the trip.
The two conference days are the easy part. The side events around them are where cars get used. We run conference and event transport in Dubai for fund, exchange and founder teams, and this is how we’d plan TOKEN2049 week.
What happened to TOKEN2049 Dubai 2026?
It was postponed by a year. The organiser’s 2026 event update says the show, originally set for 21–22 April 2026, moved to 21–22 April 2027 “due to ongoing uncertainty in the region and its impact on safety, international travel, and logistics”. Registered tickets carry forward to the 2027 edition automatically.
| Edition | Dates | Venue | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 | 30 April – 1 May 2025 | Madinat Jumeirah | Held; TOKEN2049 Week ran 28 April – 4 May |
| 2026 | 21–22 April 2026 | Madinat Jumeirah | Postponed to 2027 |
| 2027 | 21–22 April 2027 | Madinat Jumeirah | Confirmed by the organiser |
| 2028 | Not announced yet | Not announced | Recent editions: late April to early May |
The TOKEN2049 Dubai page expects 15,000 attendees from 4,000+ companies and 160+ countries, with 500+ side events, across Madinat Jumeirah’s indoor-outdoor setting. The 2025 edition reported similar numbers: 15,000 attendees, 200+ exhibitors and 500+ side events.
The main event is two days; TOKEN2049 Week is longer
In 2025 the conference ran two days, but the official report counted TOKEN2049 Week as seven days, 28 April to 4 May. That’s the pattern to plan for in 2027. Funds, exchanges and projects host breakfasts, side conferences, dinners and parties around the main event, and many of the most useful meetings happen there rather than on the show floor.
For transport, that turns a two-day conference into a week of short, unpredictable trips. A partner at a fund might do Madinat in the morning, a side conference in another hotel after lunch, a dinner in a third and a party after that. Booking each leg separately in an app means a queue every time, and at 11pm after a crypto party, that queue is long.
Getting into Madinat Jumeirah
Madinat Jumeirah is a resort, not a single building. Four hotels (Jumeirah Al Qasr, Mina A’Salam, Dar Al Masyaf and Al Naseem), the souk and the conference and event spaces share one site on King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street in Al Sufouh. “Madinat” alone isn’t a precise drop-off. Give your driver the entrance on your badge email.
| Option | How it works | Our view |
|---|---|---|
| Chauffeur | Hotel to the event entrance; the car parks and waits | Best for meetings off-site between sessions |
| Taxi or ride-hailing | Drop at the main gate | Fine for arrivals; queues at closing time |
| Dubai Metro | Red Line to Mall of the Emirates, then taxi | Not a walk; budget the second leg |
| Self-drive | Souk Madinat parking at AED 20 an hour, AED 200 maximum per 24 hours | Check the event’s own parking notes first |
Souk Madinat Jumeirah’s parking page lists those rates, with the car park open 24/7 and up to three hours free when you spend AED 100 at participating shops. Event organisers can run their own parking and valet arrangements, so check the TOKEN2049 visitor notes before the first day.
From DXB, Madinat Jumeirah is about 27 km, normally 25 to 45 minutes. From Downtown and DIFC, you’re on Sheikh Zayed Road, which is slow in the morning peak; leave enough room for it if your first session is at 9am.
Burj Al Arab, next door, is closed for restoration with reopening reported for October 2027. If you were planning a stay or a dinner there for TOKEN2049, rebook within the Madinat hotels.
Hourly hire or transfers for side-event week?
Here’s how we split it for clients:
| Your week looks like | Book | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Two conference days, hotel at Madinat | Airport transfers only; walk or buggy on site | You don’t need a car between sessions |
| Conference plus one or two dinners | Fixed transfers, with the return time agreed | Cheaper than hourly when legs are predictable |
| Three or more stops a day | Hourly hire, minimum 3 hours, or a full day | The car waits, so there’s no queue at each stop |
| Fund or exchange team of four to six | Large SUV or V-Class on hourly hire | One vehicle, everyone together, room for kit |
Published Dubai rate cards (September 2026) put a business sedan with driver at AED 90–120 an hour and an S-Class transfer at AED 400–500.
For a founder or partner who needs to look the part at a dinner, a Mercedes S-Class with chauffeur is our default. For a team that moves together, a large SUV or V-Class beats two sedans, because two sedans never arrive at the same time.
A few rules we work by in a week like this:
- Send the side-event list as soon as you have it. Even a rough one. It tells us whether you need a car on hourly hire or just transfers. For a larger group with a principal, our delegation transport checklist covers the manifest and car plan.
- Agree the late pickup in the afternoon. Parties don’t have fixed end times. We’d rather wait than have you looking for a taxi outside a club at 2am.
- Use one WhatsApp thread. Your EA or team lead sends changes; dispatch confirms each one.
- Book the departure early. If you fly out the day after the conference, so do thousands of other attendees. Lock in the airport run when you book the week.
Our all-inclusive price covers the chauffeur, fuel, Salik tolls, parking and VAT, and there’s no surge pricing after midnight. Company accounts can run on monthly invoicing through our corporate chauffeur service.
What else is on in Dubai that April?
Madinat Jumeirah hosts Art Dubai from 7 to 11 April 2027, two weeks before TOKEN2049. Arabian Travel Market follows at Dubai World Trade Centre on 3–6 May 2027. Neither overlaps the conference days, but both fill hotels nearby. See our Dubai events calendar for the full season, and our Dubai FinTech Summit transport guide for the other finance event at Madinat Jumeirah.
Frequently asked questions
What is TOKEN2049 Dubai?
TOKEN2049 Dubai is a two-day crypto and digital-assets conference at Madinat Jumeirah, part of a series that also runs in Singapore and New York. The 2027 edition, 21–22 April, expects 15,000 attendees from more than 160 countries, with 500+ side events across the city during TOKEN2049 Week.
Where is TOKEN2049 Dubai 2027 held?
At Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai, the same resort that hosted the 2025 edition. It’s on King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street in Al Sufouh, next to Burj Al Arab, about 27 km from DXB. The organiser describes the setting as indoor-outdoor, so expect to walk between spaces.
Is TOKEN2049 Dubai 2026 cancelled?
It was postponed, not cancelled. The organiser moved the 2026 edition to 21–22 April 2027, citing uncertainty in the region and its effect on safety, international travel and logistics. Tickets registered for 2026 carry forward to the 2027 edition with no action needed.
How much is a TOKEN2049 ticket?
TOKEN2049 sells tiered passes on its official site, and Super Early Bird tickets for Dubai 2027 were on sale when we wrote this. Prices rise as the event gets closer. The site also accepts payment in crypto as well as US dollars. Check the official page for current prices rather than reseller listings.
What’s the best way to get to TOKEN2049 from DXB?
A pre-booked car. Madinat Jumeirah is about 27 km from DXB, normally 25 to 45 minutes by road, and there’s no direct metro to the resort. A taxi from the rank works for one person with light luggage; for a team, a large SUV or V-Class keeps everyone and the bags together.
