A Toyota HiAce VIP with chauffeur seats eight passengers and five large suitcases. It’s the biggest vehicle in our van fleet. It’s the booking for a group of seven or eight that wants to stay together: extended families, friends on a desert evening, or a team heading to an exhibition. Everything is in one fixed price: chauffeur, fuel, Salik tolls, airport parking and VAT.
Groups larger than eight travel in two vehicles, or in a minibus with driver from 13 seats. For the other vans and how they compare, see van rental with driver in Dubai.

What is a HiAce VIP, exactly?
A HiAce that has been rebuilt inside. Toyota launched the HiAce in October 1967, and it has worked around the world ever since as a delivery van, a minibus, a taxi and an ambulance. The VIP versions start as that dependable van and are converted after the factory: the bench seats come out, and individual captain’s seats, LED cabin lighting and an upgraded sound system go in.
That gives you two things at once. The mechanical side is a Toyota van, built for hard daily work. The cabin is closer to a private lounge, with each passenger in their own armchair rather than shoulder to shoulder on a bench.
What to expect as a passenger:
- Passengers reach the back row through the sliding side door without climbing over anyone’s seat.
- Individual captain’s seats, each with its own armrests, so a long drive stays comfortable.
- Five large suitcases behind the last row with all eight passengers on board. More than that and we’ll suggest a second car for the bags.
- The ride is van-like: comfortable on the motorway, firmer than a V-Class over speed bumps.
Bottled water and Wi-Fi are on board. Children need their own seat, and we can fit child seats if you tell us ages when you book.

HiAce VIP, V-Class or two SUVs?
For eight passengers, the HiAce is the simplest answer: one vehicle, one chauffeur, one price. For six, the V-Class gives a more polished Mercedes cabin. For a mix of VIP guests and luggage, two SUVs can work better than one van.
| Toyota HiAce VIP | Mercedes V-Class | Mercedes Vito | Hyundai Staria | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Passengers | 8 | 6 | 7 | 6 |
| Large suitcases | 5 | 4 | 5 | 3 |
| How it feels | Tallest cabin, captain’s seats | Mercedes lounge, facing seats | Practical Mercedes | Modern design, big windows |
| Book it for | Groups of eight, tours, desert | Families, VIP groups | Seven with lots of luggage | Airport runs, city tours |
For a group of six who want the Mercedes badge and facing seats, the Mercedes V-Class is the upgrade.
Toyota HiAce VIP with Chauffeur in Dubai: frequently asked questions
Eight passengers with five large suitcases, each in an individual captain’s seat. That’s our largest van. For groups of nine or more, we split across two vehicles, such as a HiAce and a V-Class, and the chauffeurs coordinate pickups and drop-offs.
We book two or more vehicles and run them together, with matched pickup times and one quote for the whole group. Up to about 14 people, a HiAce paired with a V-Class is often simpler than a bus. For bigger groups we arrange minibuses and coaches with a driver; see bus rental in Dubai.
Published Dubai rate cards (September 2026) put a Mercedes V-Class at about AED 1,400–1,600 for a full ten-hour day, a useful benchmark for luxury vans. Transfers are priced per route, with fuel, Salik tolls, parking and VAT inside the price. See our pricing page.
For eight passengers, the HiAce, because the V-Class takes six. For six or fewer, the V-Class has the more premium cabin and the Mercedes finish. If your group is exactly seven with lots of luggage, the Mercedes Vito sits in between.
