Intersec Dubai 2027, now branded Intersec Global, runs 12–14 January 2027 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), 10:00–18:00 each day. It’s trade only and closed to under-18s. World Trade Centre metro station is in front of the venue, and DWTC is about 10 minutes from DXB. The one thing to get right is the gate.
Intersec fills almost the whole DWTC complex, so “Trade Centre” on its own sends your driver to the wrong side half the time. We run exhibition and conference transport for security, fire and safety delegations, and this guide is the gate-by-gate version.

Is Intersec Dubai now Intersec Global?
Yes, same show, new umbrella name. Messe Frankfurt Middle East launched Intersec Global on 13 January 2026, during Intersec 2026, as one international brand for its safety, security and resilience events, headquartered in Dubai. The Dubai show at DWTC is the flagship. Search for either name and you’ll land on the same event.
Which DWTC gate should you use for Intersec?
This is where most of the wasted time goes. Intersec’s footprint covers the main exhibition halls, Sheikh Saeed Halls and the two big standalone halls, and each has its own entrance. Match the gate to your stand number:
| Your hall | Ask to be dropped at |
|---|---|
| Halls 2–4 | Concourse 1 |
| Halls 5–8, The Pavilion | Convention Gate or Exhibition Gate on Concourse 2 |
| Sheikh Saeed Halls 1–3, Trade Centre Arena | Concourse 1 side by the metro station, or Arena Plaza |
| Sheikh Maktoum Hall | Convention Gate |
| Sheikh Rashid Hall | Exhibition Gate |
Two things to notice. The Za’abeel Halls aren’t on DWTC’s Intersec listing, so the Za’abeel Entrances off 2nd Za’abeel Road aren’t your door this time. And Hall 1 isn’t listed either, which matters only if a colleague tells you to “meet at Hall 1”. Our DWTC parking guide shows where every gate and car park sits.
How do you get to Intersec: metro, taxi, car or chauffeur?
Metro. The organiser’s arrival page says World Trade Centre station on the Red Line is right in front of the venue. It’s the cheapest option for anyone staying near the Red Line, and the Sheikh Saeed Halls are closest to it.
Taxi and ride-hailing. Dubai Taxi bookings are on +971 4 208 0808. For 2027, the organiser lists a Careem and Uber discount (15% off, up to AED 15, two trips per user, code ISGL27, valid 12–14 January). Expect queues at 18:00.
Driving yourself. Intersec’s arrival and stay page says free open parking lots sit close to the exhibition halls, with multi-storey paid parking as well. DWTC has 7,530 spaces across six paid and two free car parks, plus valet.
Chauffeur. Door to gate, then the car holds nearby until you call. It suits visitors with meetings in DIFC or at hotels between hall visits, where a taxi queue twice a day eats the time you came for.
Drop-off, waiting and the 18:00 exit
Drop-off lanes at DWTC are for stopping, not waiting. Your chauffeur drops you at your gate, parks in one of the DWTC car parks or a holding area, and keeps his phone on.
The exit is harder than the arrival. At 18:00 thousands of trade visitors leave through the same few gates, and Sheikh Zayed Road is already in its evening peak. Two ways to beat it:
- Leave at 17:30. Message your driver at 17:15 and walk out before the halls empty.
- Stay until 18:45. Have a coffee or finish a stand meeting, and let the first wave clear. The car waits at the agreed gate.
For the ride out by taxi, DWTC’s rank and Transportation Hub sit by Al Mustaqbal Street Parking, across from Convention Gate.
Planning transport for a security or fire-safety delegation
The organiser describes Intersec’s audience as everyone from government stakeholders to contractors, and its supporters include Dubai Civil Defence and the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA). Plenty of visitors arrive as delegations with a fixed programme. A few rules we use:
- Send stand numbers, not company names. We plan the gate from the hall, as above.
- Fit the car to the group. One or two senior visitors per sedan. A group of up to six with sample cases fits a luxury SUV or V-Class. Larger delegations need a van or minibus.
- Plan the protocol. Official delegations often need a lead car and timed arrivals. Our guide to delegation and VIP visitor transport covers how we run those.
- Book the airport legs early. DWTC is about 10 minutes from DXB, per the organiser, so a 14 January late flight works if you leave straight from the gate.
If cybersecurity is your side of the industry, GISEC Global follows in May at Expo City; our GISEC transport guide covers that venue. The full season is in our Dubai events calendar.

No. Intersec Global is a trade-only event for industry professionals, and people under 18 aren’t allowed into the exhibition halls. Registration is free for eligible trade professionals, according to the organiser’s FAQ.
Which metro station is closest to Intersec?
