Big 5 Global 2026 runs Monday 23 to Thursday 26 November 2026 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). Day one opens at 11am, days two and three run 10am to 6pm, and the last day closes at 5pm. Construction firms usually send teams, so book a van, minibus or coach to one gate rather than a string of taxis.

Big 5 is a show where companies send teams, not individuals, so the car plan is really a group plan. We run exhibition and conference transport for contractor, consultant and supplier delegations; this guide covers dates, gates, group vehicle sizes and the Dubai 7s weekend that follows straight after.

Who’s allowed in: tickets and the under-21 rule

Big 5 sells visitor tickets online, and its site warns that prices go up at the door, so buy before you travel. The rule that trips up construction teams is this one: visitors under 21 aren’t admitted. Graduate engineers and site trainees often travel with a delegation, so check every passport before you book seats and hotel rooms. An extra person who can’t get in still needs a ride back to the hotel.

How big a vehicle does your Big 5 team need?

Count people, then add the kit: sample boards, brochures and stand material take boot space that a passenger list doesn’t show.

Group sizeWhat we’d sendMarket rate, full day (10 hours)
1–3 peopleBusiness sedan, or an SUV for site boots and bagsBusiness sedan AED 600–1,300
4–6 peopleMercedes V-Class or large SUVV-Class AED 1,400–1,600
7–12 peopleToyota HiAce or similar van with driver12–15 seat van AED 550–700
13–30 peopleMinibus with driver20–22 seat minibus AED 650–1,100
31–53 peopleCoach, which we arrange45–53 seat coach AED 1,000–1,800

Rates are market data from published Dubai rate cards (September 2026), not our prices. Then pick one of two booking models and stick to it:

  • Fixed loops. Hotel to DWTC in the morning, back in the evening. Cheapest for teams who stay on the stand all day.
  • Hourly hire or a full day. The vehicle stays with the group for site visits or lunch meetings off-site. With hourly hire, the minimum is three hours.

For groups of 13 or more, our bus rental in Dubai page lists coach and minibus sizes, and our van rental with driver page covers the smaller jump.

One gate per group: drop-off and pickup at DWTC

A coach can’t do what a sedan does and stop at every entrance. Pick one gate for the whole group and keep it all week.

  1. Choose the gate from the hall list. Concourse 1 serves Halls 1–4 and the Sheikh Saeed Halls, which are steps from the metro. Convention Gate and Exhibition Gate sit at the two ends of Concourse 2 for Halls 5–8, Sheikh Maktoum Hall and Sheikh Rashid Hall.
  2. Monday is the easy morning. The 11am opening means the Sheikh Zayed Road morning peak has cleared before you arrive. Days two to four open at 10am, right after it, so leave the hotel earlier.
  3. One team lead, one headcount. The driver needs one phone number, not twelve. Count heads at the gate, not in the hall.
  4. The vehicle parks; it doesn’t wait at the kerb. Drop-off lanes are for stopping. Larger vehicles go where the DWTC marshals direct them on the first morning, and we confirm that spot before day two.
  5. Evening pickup before the rush. At 6pm (5pm on Thursday) the halls empty together. We agree the time and gate in the morning and have the vehicle in position before closing.

Our DWTC parking guide shows the car parks behind each gate, and our Dubai World Trade Centre transfers page covers single-car bookings.

Getting to Big 5 without a car

Big 5’s own visitor page says the venue is about two minutes from World Trade Centre metro station on the Red Line, and that RTA buses 27 and 29 stop outside the Novotel next to Convention Gate. Dubai taxis queue at the venue, and the organiser names Careem as its official transport partner, with a visitor discount on app rides to and from DWTC.

What is the parking fee at Big 5 Global?

Neither Big 5 nor DWTC publishes a rate. DWTC’s getting here page lists 7,530 spaces across six paid and two free car parks, plus valet. Exhibition Plaza is on DWTC’s list of Big 5 show areas this year, so check on the day which car parks are open to visitors before you drive in.

Big 5 week, then the Dubai 7s

Big 5 closes at 5pm on Thursday 26 November. The next morning the Emirates Dubai 7s starts at The Sevens Stadium on Al Ain Road, running 27–29 November 2026 according to the Emirates Dubai 7s organisers. If your team is staying on for the weekend, plan both events together.

What that means for transport:

  • Vans and minibuses are in demand both halves of the week. If your team wants a vehicle for the 7s too, book it with your Big 5 transport.
  • The stadium is outside the city on the Al Ain Road, and the late finishes are the hard part. Our Dubai Rugby Sevens transport guide covers drop-off and getting home.
  • Thursday afternoon is a pinch point. Stand breakdown, departures to DXB and early arrivals for the 7s all land on the same evening.

Further ahead, UAE National Day follows on 2 December. Our Dubai events calendar has the full season.
