GESS Dubai 2026 runs Tuesday 10 to Thursday 12 November in the Sheikh Saeed Halls at Dubai World Trade Centre, 10am to 6pm (5pm on Thursday). Entry is a free pass. Take the Red Line to World Trade Centre station, or have your car drop you at the Exhibition Plaza entrance off Sheikh Zayed Road, the closest door to the halls.
GESS (Global Educational Supplies and Solutions) is the region’s big education show, and it brings a particular kind of traffic: school leaders, teachers on a day out of class, and procurement teams moving between stands and meetings. We plan exhibition and conference transport for groups like these every show season. Here’s the access plan for GESS week.
When and where is GESS Dubai 2026?
The organiser, GESS Dubai, lists 10–12 November 2026 at Dubai World Trade Centre, Sheikh Saeed Halls 1, 2 and 3. Its venue and travel page gives the hours.
| Day | Date | Opening hours | Transport note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tuesday | 10 Nov 2026 | 10:00–18:00 | Opening day; allow time for badge checks |
| Wednesday | 11 Nov 2026 | 10:00–18:00 | Full day; good for group visits |
| Thursday | 12 Nov 2026 | 10:00–17:00 | Earlier close; a common day to fly out |
| Edition | Dates | Status |
|---|---|---|
| 2026 | 10–12 November 2026, DWTC Sheikh Saeed Halls | Confirmed by the organiser |
| 2027 | Not announced yet; the show runs each autumn at DWTC | Check gessdubai.com |
| 2028 | Not announced yet | Check gessdubai.com |
The organiser calls 2026 its 19th year. Dubai World Trade Centre’s autumn calendar lists GESS alongside the EV World Show and World Vape Show on the same dates, so the halls around you will be busy too.
Who goes, and what the pass covers
GESS is a trade show for the education sector: teachers, school leaders, buyers and the suppliers who sell to them. Registration is through the organiser’s “Get Your Free Pass” button. Bring your badge or the confirmation on your phone; it speeds up the morning.
Many schools send staff as a group, which is why GESS transport looks different from most DWTC shows. One minibus collecting eight teachers from one campus is simpler and cheaper per head than eight taxis.
How do you get to GESS Dubai at DWTC?
Dubai World Trade Centre is on Sheikh Zayed Road with its own metro station, so this is one of the easier venues in the city.
| Option | How it works | Best for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Metro | Red Line to World Trade Centre station, directly connected to the venue | Solo visitors near the Red Line | Crowded at 5–6pm with commuters |
| Chauffeur | Drop at the Exhibition Plaza entrance, car waits nearby | Principals, buyers, exhibitors with meetings | Book the 6pm return, not just the morning |
| Taxi or ride-hailing | Ask for the Exhibition Plaza entrance on Sheikh Zayed Road | One-way trips | Queues at closing time |
| Minibus or van | One pickup at your school, drop at Exhibition Plaza | School staff groups | Agree a single pickup point for the return |
The GESS venue page says to ask your driver for the Exhibition Plaza entrance on Sheikh Zayed Road, the closest entrance to the Sheikh Saeed Halls. Wheelchairs are available at Convention Gate and in Hall 1.
Parking at DWTC for GESS
GESS points drivers to the car park next to the Exhibition Plaza and the nearby Sheikh Rashid Parking Tower, with reserved bays for people of determination (ask the attendants on arrival). Across the whole site, Dubai World Trade Centre has 7,530 spaces in six paid and two free car parks, plus valet. Our DWTC parking guide maps them gate by gate.
Drop-off, pickup and where cars wait
Drop-off lanes at DWTC are for stopping, not waiting. For a chauffeured day, we run it like this:
- Morning drop-off at the Exhibition Plaza entrance, as close as the marshals allow.
- The car waits off the kerb, in a car park or holding area, with the chauffeur on his phone.
- Lunch or school visits. If you’re heading to a campus between sessions, message 15 minutes ahead.
- Closing time. We fix the pickup point in the morning so the car is in place before the halls empty at 6pm (5pm on Thursday).
For a team based at the venue all week, our Dubai World Trade Centre transfer page covers hotel loops and hourly hire.
Traffic and other events that week
GESS week is busy across Dubai:
- Same days at DWTC: the EV World Show and World Vape Show (10–12 November), and World Tobacco Middle East (10–11 November).
- Same days at Expo City: Automechanika Dubai at Dubai Exhibition Centre (10–12 November). If your hotel is in the south, the roads to Expo City will be slow.
- The weekend after: the DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates (12–15 November), and the World Police Summit back at DWTC from 16 November.
The hour to avoid is 5pm to 7pm on Sheikh Zayed Road, when GESS closing overlaps the evening commute. Leave at 4:30pm or after 7pm. Our Dubai events calendar has the full November picture.
Which vehicle for GESS?
| Group | Vehicle | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1–2 visitors | Business sedan | Quick drop at Exhibition Plaza |
| School leadership team of 3–6 | Large SUV or V-Class | One car, one pickup |
| Department of 7–12 teachers | Van or minibus | Collects at the school gate, waits at DWTC |
| Whole-school or multi-campus trip | Coach | We arrange buses with a driver for staff groups |
Book early if your group needs a van: early November is crowded with trade shows on both sides of the city.
